LYON The English family founded by Sir Roger de Leanne, born

France, came to England with William the Conqueror.

William, son of William, baptised Heston, county Middlesex,

England, 1620; 1635 came to New England at the age of fourteen with

the family of Issac Heath on a ship called HOPEWELL; settled at

Roxbury Mass.

NOTE: Issac Heath came from Little Amwell on a ship named HOPWELL

William Heath came from Little Amwell on a ship named LYON

George, freeman, Dorchester, 1669, afterwards at Milton, Mass.

Henry, came from Glen Lyon, Perthshire, Scotland, to Milford, Mass,

1648; moved to Fairfield, Conn, 1652.

James, resident Roxbury, Mass, 1683.

John, at Salem, Mass, 1638; granted land at Marblehead, Mass, 1648.

Peter, freeman, Dorchester, Mass, 1649;

Richard, brother of James, settled at Fairfield, Conn, 1649.

Thomas, brother of Richard, at Fairfield, Conn, 1654-70.
