Edward Colville Lyons, of Hilcote Hall,Eccleshall,Staffs.,FSI.,LAS., born 9 January 1873; educ. Loretto; married 10 September 1901, Sybil Hill, daughter of the late Henry N Miers, of Ynyspenllwch,Glamorgan (see that family), and has issue:

(1). Robert Henry Cary, born 20 April 1905; educ. Malvern and Oriel Coll.Oxford, MA.; married 19 April 1933, Dorothy Joan only daughter of Gerald Garnon Williams, of Aberclydach,co.Brecknock (see that family).

(2). Pamela Amelina, born 12 October 1910; married 24 September 1932, Henry L Knight, RHA.,eldest son of Robert Knight of Tythegston.

Mr Lyons is the son of the late Robert Colville Jones Lyons, late 43rd Light Inf., 2nd son of William Thomas Bristow Lyons, JP. and DL.,of Brookhill and Old Park,co.Antrim and is the male representative of that family (see that family, Burke’s LG. of Ireland, 1912).

British Law Insurance Co.Ltd.,served in World War II 1941-44, as Lieut. South Wales Bdrs.; born 20 April 1905, educ. Malvern and Oriel Coll. Oxford (BA 1927) married 19 April 1933, Dorothy Joan Garnons, youngest daughter of late Gerald Garnons Williams, JP., of Aberclydach,Talybont-on-Usk, Breconshire (see Burke’s LG.,1952 Edn.,Garnons Williams of Abercamlais), and has issue:
