LYONS (H. Coll.): Sable, a chevron ermine, between three sea lions sejant guardant argent. Mantling: sable and argent. Crest: On a chapeau gules, turned up ermine, a sea-lion’s head erased argent, gorged with a naval crown azure.

Son of Admiral of the Fleet Sir Algernon M’Lennan Lyons, GCB (1897), JP. and DL. for co.Glamorgan, Commander-in-Chief at Devonport 1893, born 1833; died 1908; married 1879, Louisa Jane (Res: 14 Hurst Road,Eastbourne) eldest daughter of Thomas Penrice of Kilvrough,co.Glamorgan.

Algernon Edmund Penrice Lyons, Esq., DSO.,Lieutenant Commander (ret) RN., born 1886; married 1915, Isabel Augusta daughter of Ernest Knightly Little of Newbold Pacey, Warwick. Seat: Kilvrough, near Swansea.
