Francis Lyon,Col.RHA.,born 11 January 1834, married 23 June 1863 Flora, who died 4 August 1924, 2nd daughter of the Hon.A Annesley and sister of Viscount Valentia (see Burke’s Peerage) and died 26 February 1885 leaving issue.

(2).Francis Lyon,CB.(1921), CMG.(1916), CVO.(1922), DSO.(1900), Hon.Brig.Gen.(ret) formerly Col.RFA.,Mil.Attache Brussels, 1918, has the Croix de Guerre of Belgium (United Service Club), born 10 July 1867, married 18 August 1910 Jane eldest daughter of Joseph C Borwick of Prince’s Gate, London (see Burke’s Peerage,Borwick,B) and has issue; Paul Lyon born 9 October 1912 died 1926; Ivan lyon born 12 August 1915; Frank Lyon born 1 March 1921.

(3).Arthur Lyon late Major South African Constabulary, Capt.( Border Regt.,born 25 January 1869, educ.Wellington, married 6 February 1913 Gladys Anita (married 2ndly,13 June 1927 Lieut.Col.Charles Lyon,JP.) younger daughter of Capt.Charles Stuart of Durban,South Africa and died 25 January 1920, leaving issue; Stuart Rennie Lyon born 25 June 1914; Hazel Arthur Lyon born 6 November 1917.

(4).Henry Lyon formerly Asst.Dist.Commissioner Niger Coast Protectorate, served in South Africian Infantry and in Great War (Rowley Cottage, Lowfield Heath,Sussex),born 10 August 1872, educ.Wellington, married 17 January 1917 Laura daughter of the late Victor A Lagerwall, of Port Elizabeth SA.; Mary Lyon married 1895 Rev.Percy Stewart, Rector of West Derby,Liverpool and has issue; Florence Lyon married 18 October 1905 Charles Speke 3rd son of Rev.Benjamin Speke, Vicar of Dowlish (see Speke of Jordans) and has issue.

Lieut.Col. Charles Lyon of Appleton Hall,Cheshire, JP. and DL. for the Co.,High Sheriff 1924, Lieut.Col.(Ret) late RFA.,born 7 April 1865, educ. Wellington and RMA. survived his uncle 1914, married 1stly,17 July 1894 Rachel Mary Fearne (died 30 June 1926) only child of the late Sir Arthur Havelock GCSI.,GCMC.,GCIE.,Governor of Ceylon, and has issue; Francis Charles Lyon, Lieut.Gren.Guards, born 25 May 1895, educ.Eton, killled in action 13 April 1918; Margaret Grace born 28 February 1899, married 18 September 1927 Douglas Du Bois Davidson son of late Sir Walter Davidson KCMG.
