Argent, a lion rampant gules, on a chief of the last three towers triple-towered of the field. Mantling: gules and argent. Crest: On a wreath of his liveries, a lady couped at the girdle, vested, and holding in her dexter hand a thistle all proper. Motto: "In te Domine speravi".
Eldest son of Sir Alexander Lyon, Knt. Bach., ex-Lord Provost of Aberdeen, DL., born 1850; died 1927; married 1875 Elsie daughter of the late William Inglis of Aberdeen.

Mantling: azure, doubled argent. Crest: On a wreath of his liveries, between two slips of laurel a lady couped at the girdle, habited, and holding in her right hand a thistle all proper. Motto: "In te Domine speravi".
Fourth son of the late William Lyon, born 1813; died 1892; married 1851 Louisa Charlotte, daughter of William Norton of Down Lodge,Epsom:
